I have to say that I enjoy reading a good book. Especially mysteries, not outright scary mysteries, but solving crimes type of mystery. I have enjoyed reading for the majority of my life even though I am not the best reader in the world. My mom can read 2 novels a day if she has the time. I remember reading the Little House on the Prairie series, The Secret Garden, Where the Red Fern Grows growing up and it brings back good memories. I have always hoped my children would enjoy reading books. Several months ago I would have said that Isabella does not like even looking at books. However, that has changed drastically! Matt, mentioned the other day that he sat down to look at a magazine and did not even get started because Isabella came up and wanted to read a book instead. We joined the children's book of the months club about a month or so ago so we could collect more books. I am so glad, since the few books we had were getting really old. Isabella doesn't want to read the "baby" books anymore. She wants big kid books. Like the 12 x 12 books with real pages. I have to say she is very cute reading them by herself and will even sit and look through them for awhile. She could sit for an hour or two if we read them to her and if we had the time to do that. She did go through a little stage of tearing the pages but she has gotten over that after she was distraught that the pages weren't there. I did tape them back for her. She will also throw the books down the stairs if they are up in her room and she wants to read them downstairs. So, for now, instead of mysteries, I will be reading children's books. I do like them too.
