Unexpected Visitors

I got a call from my friend Emily on Friday afternoon around 3:00 while I was still at work. She was on her way home and had 2 flat tires. She was at a gas station and didn't know what to do. She had both of her kids with her and was only a few miles away on the interstate from my office. I made a couple of calls for her and headed to pick her up. Firestone towed her van and we picked up my kiddos and headed to our house for an afternoon of relaxing while her van was fixed. It was nice to catch up and hang out unexpectedly. Thanks for the afternoon, Em.

Braves Baseball

We attended our second and last baseball game of the season in September with the Mays and also met up with the Millers. It was a great game and the kids had a good time too.

Happy Birthday

We spent the first long weekend, Labor Day weekend, at my parents house to celebrate my mom's birthday and visit with the family. We gave mom another picture album of the kiddos.

I made a caramel cake because it is her favorite. It was my first caramel cake and I would not have finished it without Patrick's help. Thanks man. Happy Birthday Mom.

Morning Coffee

William enjoys his morning coffee. He also enjoys my leftover afternoon coffee that he finds in the car when I pick him up. Like father, like son.

All About Me

Isabella was assigned her first real homework this week. It was a project and we already had a very busy week in our house. She worked hard on it and even commented at one point that "this is hard for me". I had to take a step back and remember it is her work and would not be perfect. She did a great job and it turned out great! I was so proud of her.
