The Memorial Long Weekend

Well, the long weekend started off with us driving to Waynesboro to spend the night at my parents house. The next morning, my sister, Jennie and I, drove down to Statesboro to attend our cousins, Whitney and Mitchell, high school graduation. I was ten when they were born so it really makes me feel old to know that they will be going to college in the fall. They are twins and I grew up baby sitting them and their younger sister Lydia. Growing up we were all very close and saw each other frequently. We definitely enjoyed our time together and I look back fondly on those years. Matt, Isabella, Patrick (Jennie's husband- that still sounds so weird to say), and my mom drove up that afternoon for the graduation party. Isabella had a great time splashing in the water and climbing up and down the stairs. She and Matt also took a nap while we were there. We drove back to Waynesboro so we could see my dad before he had to go back to work and then left to come back home to Waynesboro. Needless to say, it was a very busy and quick 24 hours.

The next day was Matt's 32nd birthday. We went to church, spent the afternoon at home and went to Frontera with some friends for dinner. After dinner we watched 27 dresses at the house. Isabella and Micah had a good time playing as always.

On Monday, Memorial Day, we went out to the mall area to run a few errands and do a little shopping. It was a nice and relaxing day. I only have two more days at school and will be out for the summer on Thursday.
