Our first day at school

In honor of Rockdale County schools returning to school already. I figured I would go ahead and post about Isabella and William's first day at "school".

They are going to Ms Kaye's house this year. Which is a new experience for all of us. They have always stayed with friends who I have know for a long time. So, going to a new place has been a change.

Isabella always adjusts well and tends to always have a good time. But William not so much. William would still be attached to me if he could be. I told Ms Kaye one day after he had cried for awhile after I left in the morning that he sometimes cries when I leave him with Matt. So, she is in good company.

Ms Kaye will work with Isabella just like at preschool and takes naps on her nap pad. She has actually fallen asleep a few times. I am hopeful that she will get into a good routine and start taking more regular naps as the year progresses. That unfortunately means she will be getting up earlier on the weekends so no sleeping in for us.

William tried taking a few naps on his pad but we decided it would be best at this point to go back to a pack-n-play. He has been sleeping much better since then. He still continues to cry when I leave him in the mornings but that may continue for several months. I know he is having a good time.
