I was able to spend this past weekend with my girls, Michelle and Emily. We try to do at least one girls' weekend a year to get together and catchup. Michelle and I have been friends since the 4th grade and were roommates in college. We met Emily at orientation and she ended up rooming with another friend of ours. We became quick friends and ended up living in our apartment together for the rest of our time there.
We headed to Panama City beach on Thursday evening after Michelle flew in from a work trip and arrived at PCB around 11:30 pm. I feel kind of funny saying we went to PCB just because of all the horrible things you hear that go on there. However, Emily's dad and their great family friends purchased a condo down there right on the beach and we certainly couldn't pass up the opportunity to get together for a free weekend.
The weather was fantastic after a couple of storms moved through on Friday morning. We spent our time out on the beach reading and catching up and getting some sun. I have a nice tan on the front at least. Hopefully I can even it out on our family beach trip in a few weeks.

All of us commented several times that it is so nice to be with friends that have known you for so long. Everything is already out there and there is no pretending or figuring out how everyone fits together. You are known for who you are, not as someone else's something. Isabella and William's mom, Matt's wife, that type of thing. They were there before I even met Matt and since we lived together they know all the bad that comes along with the good. I have been so blessed to have them as friends. I love you girls. Can't wait till next time.
