Vacation

I know I have not been able to blog the past couple of weeks. We were able to go on vacation last week and were gone for a full seven days. It was difficult to pack for all of us for the week and Isabella is with my parents so I had to pack separately for her too.
We left on Father's Day to head down to Tybee Island. We were able to stop in Waynesboro for lunch to see my parents. It was a nice stop and break right in the middle of our trip. After lunch, we headed on down and met Matt's parents.

We had a great time at the beach and were actually able to relax some. Isabella did NOT like the water, either at the beach or the pool. Finally on Thursday she got into the water at the pool. She did like the sand on the beach. William LOVED the pool! He would sit in his float and splash for a couple of hours.

They were filming a movie with Mylie Cyrus while we were down there and it was right on the other side of the pier. Matt got a few good shots of her during some filming.

I was able to read a book Sarah gave me and finished it on the way home and I am on the next one. It is from the Mitford series. I really like it a lot. We also got some pictures of the kids on the beach that turned out pretty cute. I dressed them alike in outfits that Emily gave me from Bethany and Caleb. I was also able to get a couple of pictures of Isabella in her tutu. Love it!!!

When we were all packed up and literally pulling out of the parking deck, the car would not go. Our parking break was stuck and Matt's dad was finally able to release it be flooring the gas and popping it out. Needless to say, we did not use the parking break anymore.

We stopped for the weekend in Statesboro. On Friday we traveled with Michael and Krista to Macon to Mike Kinnebrew's concert. We spent the rest of the weekend there celebrating my Aunt's Beth's birthday. They are moving to Texas and will be there for a year so it was emotion for them on Sunday.

Finally Isabella got in the pool at Aunt Sandy's house

Matt, William, and I got home on Sunday night around 7:00. Isabella comes home tomorrow night. They both traveled well which was a definite blessing. Isabella enjoys watching Mary Poppins so we were able to entertain her with that during the trip. She would sit back there and try to sing "Chim chimney, chim chim charoo" and it was so cute. Thank you Randy and Kappy for a fun week.
