I really can't believe it is already 2009. Matt and I were in New York for the big 2000 New Year and it seems just like yesterday. So many things have happened since 2000. We got engaged in December of 2000 and married in December of 2001.
We have been blessed with two precious little ones. I was changing out the video in the recorder for Christmas and needed to look at it so I could label it. It was one that had Isabella on it from the summer. I was blown away by how much she had changed and grown just since the summer. She wasn't talking much and was so little. It makes me extremely sad to know that she will turn 3 years old in just a few months along with my 30th birthday. I hate to think of the day she doesn't want her mommy around or the day she starts high school or the day she leaves for college. It will be here way too soon.
I usually hate to make New Year's Resolutions because I am so bad at keeping them. I always have great intentions but they seem to fall flat come the end of January. I need proper motivation to want to continue. However this year I want to really enjoy my children. To know when I get home from work that it is my time with them and that I will never get this time back. Even when Isabella is driving me crazy repeating the same thing over and over or standing too close to the stove after I have repeatedly asked her to move. I love it when she tells me "I love you mommy" or gets excited about something very small and when William smiles at me. They are so precious and I am so thankful for them and Matt.
Have a Happy New Year.
