So you would think I would have made time to catch up on some blog posting this week. However, I was totally unprepared to be stuck inside all week without planned activities. The kids really did not care for the ice which meant I didn't either. On our first adventure out. Isabella said, "it is like... ice." I thought giggling to myself, "yes it is dear." No snow angels for us. The kids even practiced making them inside on the carpet that morning. Oh well. Maybe next time we will have fluffy snow instead of ice.
We finally ventured out of the house Wednesday afternoon to go to Lowes and Target. We really needed to get out. When we got back home, I could not get the van back up the driveway. I pondered for a few minutes while sitting at the top 2/3 of the driveway about what to do. I decided it would be best to roll back down and park on the street and carry the kids up. When I backed down I got stuck at the end but was finally able to maneuver around and make it down. Matt ended up being our hero that night when he got the van up. The kids kept saying "Daddy is our hero" over and over. Too cute!

Here is a little of what we did during the ice.
Watched a lot of movies
Specifically Toy Story 3
Practiced making snow angels
Getting static in our hair
Crawling around on the floor
3 inches of snow!
William wore Isabella's old tights since he didn't have much to chose from in the way of cold weather clothes
Learned to wash dishes or play in the water
