I ate ...

I have always worried that Isabella would continue to eat the same type of things that I eat. I am a pretty picky eater. I have improved and expanded my palate over the years but I still don't eat very many vegetables. She has been heading in the same direction pretty much since she stated eating real food. She ate a lot of different veggies and fruits when she was eating baby food but when the real food came along she stopped. I have always hoped it was a texture thing and recently she has been broadening her horizons so maybe I have been right. Here is a list of the things she has recently started eating:

1. Grapes
2. Strawberries
3. Ladybugs
4. Carrots
5. Rocks
6. Olives
7. Bananas

Rocks? Yes you heard me correctly. And you thought the ladybug story was funny. This past Sunday, I was inside with William and Isabella was collecting rocks and bringing them inside. All of a sudden she came in and said "I ate rock".
I said "What?"
She said "I ate rock."
"Where is the rock Isabella?"
"In mouth"
"Well spit it out"
She starts putting her finger in her mouth and gagging.
I then realize the rock is long gone. I immediately proceed to think the following, "should I call 911? Should I take her to the hospital? NO, she has already swallowed the rock and is talking to me so she is fine."
I called the doctor on Monday and spoke with the nurse. She said to watch for it over the next 48-72 hours. Needless to say. I have not "found" the rock. Hopefully it will show up in the next day or so. I will keep you posted.

Ask her which one tasted worse the ladybug or the rock?! I can just picture her little face and gritty teeth trying to figure out why she ate a rock! The worse we've gotten so far is dirt and dog food!
