YoungLife has become a ministry near and dear to my heart over the last 10 years. I was introduced to YL by just jumping in to winter camp in January 2002 only 6 weeks after getting married. I can't really say I was all smiles and happy to be hanging out with high school students in our spare time. But over time, God changed my heart and I fell in love with the hearts of high school kids and the ministry of YL. It has taught me many things over the past 10 years. The biggest would be God's grace and mercy and how they apply to my life.

I started in YL as a volunteer leader with Matt. We ministered to kids for around 5 years and have had the privilege of watching God work in their hearts. When Isabella was born, we moved to the committee because we wanted to stay involved. That is where we have served for the past 5 years.

Sarah and I went to the committee weekend held up at Sharptop Cove this past weekend. It was a great weekend seeing some familiar faces and getting more direction on where our committee should be headed. We both went into the weekend feeling overwhelmed and left feeling energized and knowing that God has some plans for us.

Prayer was a BIG feature of the weekend. We both left realizing how much we need to be praying for everything. I think we prayed more together this weekend than we have over the past 7 years knowing each other.

The last time I spent the night at camp I was pregnant with Isabella. Now, Sarah is pregnant with baby boy number 3 or "Jackson" as I refer to him. Ha ha!
