Oh no!

I kept the May boys for Sarah to go to her sister-in-law's baby shower. Or I was supposed to. Both our little boys were napping, Bella and Micah were watching tangled and I was going to go back to working on the half bath. As I was walking through the living room, Micah stood up and said to Isabella, "let's play pirates while we watch Tangled". Then the next thing I know, he has fallen backwards and hit is head on the end table. I scooped him up and sat on the couch with him. Then, I realized there is blood everywhere and I take a look at his face. I thought," Oh no!" and ran into the kitchen. When he let me take a look, he had a HUGE cut in his lip and blood was still pouring out.

I debated for a few seconds about what to do. I asked Isabella to find my phone and called Sarah. Trying not to cry, I told her that she had to turn around because I thought he needed to go to the ER. Oh, my stomach was in knots!!! I couldn't believe this had happened and the kids weren't even doing something they weren't supposed to. I felt horrible.

I also called Zach to tell him that Sarah would be calling him and he would need to met her. Micah was a trooper. He ended up with 4-5 stitches on the outside and 3 on the inside and a BIG, FAT lip. Now his tooth is lose and it has to be pulled. Agh!!!

You know how when something like that happens to your own children, it isn't really that big of a deal. You just move on. But man, it sure makes you think a lot more about it when it happens to someone else's child while in your care. I am just thankful it was only his lip and tooth.

So sorry Sarah, Zach & Micah.
